NCM Staff

Derek Spain is the Director of North Country Ministries (NCM). He and his wife Kim, along with their two sons, Grant and Andy, moved from the suburbs of Atlanta, GA in the fall of 2001 to begin leading this ministry. In the fall of 2004, their daughter Emma Grace was born. As director of NCM, Derek coordinates the ministry efforts, communicates with community leaders about service opportunities, helps to recruit local volunteers, and schedules mission teams for trips to the North Country. Derek also serves as the pastor of Lake Placid Baptist Church, and he is the resort ministry consultant for the Baptist Convention of New York, helping churches in other parts of the state begin special ministries in their areas.
